Women’s Health

Care for every stage of life

Women’s health needs change throughout life. Our GPs provide tailored care from adolescence through adulthood, including preventive health checks, reproductive health, pregnancy support, menopause care and general wellbeing.

You can book an appointment to discuss:

  • Period concerns, heavy bleeding or irregular cycles

  • Period pain

  • PMS or hormonal symptoms

  • Contraception options

  • Cervical screening

  • Breast health concerns

  • Sexual health and STI testing

  • Pre-pregnancy planning

  • Pregnancy and postnatal care

  • Menopause and perimenopause symptoms

  • Urinary symptoms

  • Mental health and emotional wellbeing

  • General health checks, including blood pressure, diabetes and cardiovascular risk

Whether your concern is new, ongoing or something you have been putting off, our team can help you understand your options and plan the next step.

Pregnancy, Fertility & Contraception care

We provide supportive care before, during and after pregnancy.

Our doctors can help with:

  • Pregnancy confirmation

  • Early pregnancy advice

  • Antenatal blood tests and screening discussions

  • Nausea, reflux, fatigue and other pregnancy symptoms

  • Medication safety during pregnancy

  • Referral to a midwife, obstetrician or specialist service if required

  • Postnatal checks

  • Breastfeeding concerns

  • Contraception after birth

  • Emotional wellbeing after birth

If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, we can help you get the right care in place early.

Menopause and perimenopause support

Perimenopause and menopause can affect sleep, mood, energy, periods, weight, sexual wellbeing and overall quality of life.

Common symptoms include:

  • Hot flushes or night sweats

  • Sleep disturbance

  • Mood changes or anxiety

  • Brain fog or difficulty concentrating

  • Vaginal dryness or discomfort

  • Reduced libido

  • Irregular or heavy periods during perimenopause

  • Weight and metabolic changes

  • Joint aches or general fatigue

Our GPs can discuss lifestyle strategies, treatment options, hormone therapy where appropriate, non-hormonal options, bone health, cardiovascular risk and follow-up care.

You do not need to manage symptoms alone. A consultation can help you understand what is happening and what support may be suitable.

Cervical screening, breast health and preventive checks

Preventive care helps detect health issues early and supports long-term wellbeing.

We can help with:

  • Cervical screening

  • Breast health checks and mammogram referral advice

  • Blood pressure checks

  • Diabetes and cholesterol screening

  • Cardiovascular risk assessment

  • Bone health discussion

  • Sexual health screening

  • Immunisation advice

  • General health checks

Your GP can advise which checks are recommended based on your age, medical history, family history and current symptoms.

When should you book?

Please book an appointment if you or your child has:

  • A new health concern

  • Ongoing symptoms that are not improving

  • Preventive checks or screening due

  • Pregnancy or postnatal concerns

  • Contraception advice and treatment

  • Menopause or hormone-related symptoms

  • Developmental or behavioural concerns

  • Mental health or wellbeing concerns

  • Questions about referrals or specialist care

For complex concerns, multiple issues, mental health appointments, or detailed women’s health discussions, we recommend booking a longer appointment.
